Political party’s group armed with sticks attacks cops in Attock
LAHORE: A group of political party, armed with lathis, attacked the police at Haru Bridge and Katti Pahari M1 Motorway in Attock on Saturday and injured 26 officers and personnel of the Punjab Police.
The Punjab Police did not use any kind of weapon against these groups armed with sticks. The Punjab Police followed the SOPs by not using firearms to control the rioters. The injured officers and personnel were identified as SHO Inspector Sajid, ASI Aamir Sajjad, ASI Khurram Shehzad, constables Usman Ali, Shakir Ali, Umar Shahzad, Muhammad Akbar, Irfan Ali, Saqib Ali, Abdul Malik, Mazhar, Zaheer Abbas, Ghulam Farid, Mohammad Imran, Tayyab Hussain, Muhammad Imran, Umar Khan, Sharjeel Ajmal, Imran Khan, Anmol, Qasim, Imran Shahzad, Faizan Khan, Siraj Ahmed and Head Constable Aziz Ahmed.
