The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has taken strict notice of giving wrong information and giving marks on the pretext of MDCAT exam preparations.
A letter issued by PMDC Registrar Dr Shaista says that it has been reported through various sources and social media platforms that certain individuals and groups are attempting to take monetary advantage of aspiring MDCAT candidates by offering fraudulent exam preparation services and spreading misleading information regarding the examination process.
The letter further says the PMDC through this public notice warns those responsible to cease such activities immediately. The PMDC will involve the relevant authorities, including the Cyber Security Cell, to take stringent action against these individuals and platforms.
The letter please note that the MDCAT examination is solely administered by the respective provincial public sector universities under the standards approved by the provincial and federal governments, while the PMDC’s role is limited to student registration through its official portal.
Dr Shaista said that all aspiring MDCAT students and their parents are strongly advised to avoid falling prey to these fraudulent schemes. The students have been advised to focus on dedicated and honest preparation, and adhere strictly to the guidelines provided by official authorities for their own benefit and success.
