‘Second Line Border Control’ office opens at Lahore Airport
LAHORE : The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore, in a major initiative, has established a state-of-the-art "Second Line Border Control" office at Allama Iqbal International Airport, on the directions of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
The Additional Director of Immigration Ayesha Agha and officials from the International Centre for Migration Policy were also present on this occasion.
According to the FIA spokesperson, the system installed with the collaboration of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) will help curb illegal immigration.
FIA Lahore Zone Director Sarfraz Khan Virk stated that the modern equipment will significantly enhance the FIA's capability to prevent illegal immigration. The officers concerned briefed the FIA Lahore Zone Director on the use of the advanced equipment.
