94 MPhil and PhD scholars graduated from ICCBS in 10 months
Ninety-four MPhil and PhD scholars successfully graduated from the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the Karachi University (KU) between September 12, 2023, and July 30, 2024.
According to a spokesman from the KU, during this period, the administration at the ICCBS streamlined operations to create a more scholar-friendly environment, ensuring adherence to the centre’s guidelines, rules, and merit standards to maintain academic rigour.
Prof Dr Farzana Shaheen, Director of the ICCBS, shared these achievements during a meeting with administration officials at the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, KU. She highlighted that out of the 94 graduates (68 MPhil and 26 PhD), 43 MPhil and 16 PhD scholars completed their degrees at the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, while 25 MPhil and 10 PhD scholars graduated from the Dr Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research. She emphasised the enhanced research productivity of students at ICCBS.
