Passers-by rescue minor girl after she falls into open manhole

Another incident of a child falling into an open manhole has emerged in Karachi, where a minor girl fell into an uncovered manhole in Sher Shah but she was luckily rescued by passing citizens.

CCTV footage has surfaced showing a girl falling into an open manhole on Muhammadi Road in Sher Shah. In the footage, the girl can be seen falling, and immediately, citizens around gather and promptly rescue her from the sewer. Fortunately, the girl remained unharmed in the incident.

Residents have stated that manhole covers are missing, but the municipal authorities are unwilling to address the issue, leading to frequent accidents. Incidents of falling into manholes have become common in the city, and many children have lost their lives.
