In Karachi, banned organisations are resurfacing, as evidenced by the recent attack on policemen in Sohrab Goth. This incident highlights that terrorist groups are becoming active again and challenging the city's law and order.

A case was registered at the CTD police station on the complaint of SHO Sohrab Goth Abdul Hameed Khokhar. The case was filed against two unidentified terrorists on charges of murder, attempted murder, and provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Two policemen had gone to the service road near Super Highway for personal needs and to drink water when two attackers on a motorcycle, dressed in shalwar kameez, first observed the cops carefully and then went into a nearby alley. They returned and opened fire on them. Constable Yasin Gopang was martyred during transportation to the hospital. Four empty shells of a .30-bore pistol were found at the scene.

According to CTD officials, the incident was suspected to involve a banned terrorist organisation, and the attack on the police was intended to demoralise the officers and destabilise the country's economy. Following the incident, a combing operation was conducted on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday in Ganna Mandi and its surroundings, during which several suspects were detained.
