Saifullah Khan’s death anniversary observed
PESHAWAR: The 60th death anniversary of the Pakistan Movement leader, Barrister Khan Saifullah Khan, was marked on Thursday.
A ceremony was arranged at the residence of his son, Salim Saifullah Khan, a senior politician and former federal minister. People from different walks of life were in attendance.Fateh Khwani and dua were offered for the late politician who contributed as well to the industrial development of the southern region of KP (then called North-West Frontier Province).
According to the memoir of Barrister Saifullah Khan shared by his son, Salim Saifullah Khan, he was born on January 1, 1916, in the Lakki Marwat district.He received early education at Dera Ismail Khan, graduated from Government College Lahore and did Bar-at-Law from the UK.The late Saifullah Khan was a football player and served as the captain of the college team and also visited different European countries including Hungary.
