Ex-caretaker PM Kakar, Aimal Wali, 7 others elected senators from Balochistan
PMLN’s Syed Nasir and Agha Shahzeb Durrani secured the Senate seats uncontested

QUETTA: Nine candidates were elected unopposed to 11 seats of Senate from Balochistan, including independent candidate former caretaker prime minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, on Thursday.
PMLN’s Syed Nasir and Agha Shahzeb Durrani secured the Senate seats uncontested.
Peoples Party’s (PPP) Sardar Umar Gorgej and National Party’s John Buledi were also elected senators on general seats.
Awami National Party leader Aimal Wali was elected as a senator from Balochistan. Ahmed Khan of JUIF was elected as a senator unopposed. Rahat Jamali of PMLN and Hasna Bibi of PPP were elected as senators on women’s seats.
