SSWMB launches three-shift schedule for cleaning streets

The Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) on Monday initiated a three-shift cleaning schedule for Karachi’s streets during the holy month of Ramazan.
Managing Director of SSWMB Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah highlighted the annual arrangements made by philanthropic organisations for iftar and sehri, emphasising the board’s commitment to ensuring cleanliness during Ramadan.
In a meeting chaired by the managing director, it was decided to assign sanitary workers to three shifts during Ramadan. The shifts commence at 6 am and continue until 5 am the following day, ensuring continuous cleanliness efforts. Additional staff had been allocated to clean mosques, imambargahs, markets, food streets, and cemeteries.
