ISPR says Kabul expected to deny use of Afghan soil by terrorists

After an intense fire exchange, two terrorists namely Hazrat Umer and Rehman Niaz were also sent to hell while three other terrorists got injured

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 10 terrorists while another three were injured in two separate operations in the North Waziristan district.

On Friday and Saturday, 10 terrorists were sent to hell while three were injured in two separate engagements by the security forces in the North Waziristan District.

Four terrorists were sent to hell during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) on Friday. During the follow-up sanitization operation, four more terrorists were successfully neutralized by the security forces.

In a separate operation also in North Waziristan district, movement of five terrorists, who were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was picked up by the security forces.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement, said Pakistan has consistently been asking the interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border.

The ISPR added that the interim Afghan government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.

The media wing of Pakistan Army maintained that the security forces of Pakistan are determined and remain committed to securing its borders and wiping out the menace of terrorism from the country.
