PNCA unveils ‘HerStory: Celebrating Women Artists’ exhibition
Islamabad: In a momentous celebration of artistic brilliance and female empowerment, the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) proudly inaugurated the highly anticipated group exhibition, ‘HerStory: Celebrating Women Artists,’ at the National Art Gallery in Islamabad.
Marking the occasion of International Women's Day, this event pays tribute to the exceptional talent and enduring contributions of women artists throughout Pakistan. Graced by esteemed dignitaries including Humaira Ahmed, Secretary of the National Heritage and Culture Division, and Manuel Frederico Pinheiro da Silva, Ambassador of Portugal in Pakistan, the inauguration ceremony exemplified a collective acknowledgment of women's profound impact on the country's cultural heritage.
Ms. Ahmed’s unwavering dedication to fostering cultural preservation resonated profoundly with the exhibition's theme, making her the ideal guest of honour. Interacting with each featured artist, she offered heartfelt appreciation and encouragement, inspiring all with her support and recognition.
The event featured an enlightening artist talk with distinguished speakers Ambassador Naela Chohan and Dr. Mamoona Khan, further enriching the cultural dialogue surrounding women's artistic expression and empowerment.
