We have reached a point where Pakistan as a state is unable to sustain corruption any more. That is why people are supporting the call for across-the-board accountability. However, the PTI’s stance to start everything from the Panama leaks and end accountability at the prime minister’s family is not acceptable. We have time. We can wait for another 70 years to root out corruption. What we do not want Imran Khan is to use this excuse to root out Nawaz’s family from politics and come to power.
The only solution to the biggest challenge of corruption is to train honest judges, and let them deliver justice. A time will come when their verdicts will be implemented also. Till such time, our Pervez Musharrafs will keep hiding in ICUs. We can wait them out.
