A few tips can help us avoid our cars from breaking down in the summer. First, make sure that there are no leaks in the radiator/cooling system. Second, repair the leak in the radiator and replace leaking hoses. Third, add coolant/antifreeze in the cooling system to prevent rusting and scale deposits. Fourth, if your car has an electric fan it will rotate at a slower speed if the charging system is not working. Have it fixed.
Fifth, if the engine timing is advanced, it will cause overheating. Have the timing adjusted. Sixth, improper wheel alignment will cause overheating as well as high fuel consumption that may result in the premature failure of the tyres. Seventh, check if your brake pads are rubbing against the disc. This will cause extra load on the engine resulting in overheating. Eighth, the thermostat could be in closed position. Have it replaced.
