Visiting UAE minister to discuss boost in Pak-UAE trade volume
Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE’s State Minister for Foreign Trade, was received on arrival by Dr Gohar Ejaz
ISLAMABAD: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) State Minister for Foreign Trade, in his visit to Pakistan, will discuss the possibility of increasing the trade volume with Pakistan and creation of a business-friendly environment for investors from the Gulf State.
Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE’s State Minister for Foreign Trade, was received on arrival by Dr Gohar Ejaz. The visiting dignitary will have important meetings during his stay in the capital.
The UAE is Pakistan’s key economic partner in the region due to its geographical proximity, leading to significant trade exchanges between the two countries. The relationship between the two countries is also vital for Pakistan due to strategic investments and remittances.
The host officials will also discuss with Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi to identify promising avenues for investment in Pakistan’s service and logistics sectors.
The avenues encompassed vital areas such as infrastructure development of ports, logistics hubs and aviation facilities along with an expansion of shipping and cargo services.
The UAE minister is of the view that the immense potential for collaboration in many sectors -- infrastructure development of ports, logistics hubs and aviation facilities and expansion of shipping and cargo services -- would not only boost trade but also generate employment opportunities and contribute to the overall economic growth of both countries.
