The elderly brother of a retired army officer was kidnapped in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Colonel (retd) Dr Muhammad Ifikhar Noor lodged an FIR (No. 100/24 under Section 365) at the Aziz Bhatti police station, reporting the abduction of his 79-year-old brother, Iqbal Khan Noor.
In the FIR, Dr Iftikhar said his brother, who manages his own business, was abducted on January 11. The incident occurred after he left his office at Mashriq Center in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, travelling in a car with his son's friend, Abdul Hameed Siddiqui. The abduction took place near the Essa Nagri graveyard on Sir Shah Suleman Road, where armed men in three vehicles intercepted their car and kidnapped Iqbal Khan. The kidnappers confiscated their cell phones during the incident.
The family reported the abduction to the Police Helpline Madadgar 15. Subsequently, they filed a petition at the Sindh High Court and officially registered a kidnapping case on January 29. As of now, the whereabouts of the abducted man remains unknown.
