Ex-minister’s vehicle torched on jirga orders

MIRANSHAH: The Uthmanzai jirga on Sunday set on fire the vehicle belonging to former provincial minister Iqbal Wazir in Shewa tehsil in North Waziristan.
It was learnt that the jirga members had accused the former provincial minister of violating the tribal customs and traditions.
His vehicle was publicly set on fire on the orders of the Uthmanzai jirga, locals said. The vehicle was reduced to ashes. Iqbal Wazir paid Rs2 million fine to the jirga as well. Iqbal Wazir is contesting the election for PK-103 on the ticket of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians.
