Misconduct complaints: Justice Mazahar submits reply to show cause notice
The judge maintained that the misconduct complaints were baseless

ISLAMABAD: Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi, Judge of the Supreme Court, has submitted his reply in the show cause notice issued to him by the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) on the misconduct complaints filed against him.
It was learnt that the judge, in his reply to the second show cause notice, termed the misconduct complaints as well as the SJC proceedings unjustified.
The judge maintained that the misconduct complaints were baseless, adding that after his pending maintainable petitions, the SJC proceedings were unjustified.
It is pertinent to mention that on December 14, 2023 the SJC had granted permission to Justice Naqvi to submit his reply by January 1.
