HYDERABAD: Two armed men escaped after looting Rs50 million and jewellery from a Hindu businessman on Tuesday night in the limits of the Bhittai Nagar police station in the Qasimabad area.
According to the police, businessman Ashok Kumar was filling up his car with petrol at a petrol pump on Jamshoro Road, when the bandits arrived and snatched more than 25 million rupees and jewellery worth 22 million rupees.
Ashok Kumar told the police that the robbers got into the car, claiming to be from a federal agency and sped away. A blockade was imposed around the city after the robbery incident by the Hyderabad police. The businessman’s car was later found in the limits of the Naseem Nangar police station.
