Karachi to face water supply disruption today due to annual maintenance
In line with its annual maintenance schedule, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has announced an interruption in the city's water supply on Tuesday (today).
A press statement from KWSC highlighted that, as a result of the electricity department's annual maintenance work, partial electricity supply would be suspended on various feeders of the Dhabiji Pumping Station on November 21. The maintenance operation was scheduled to take place from 9 am to 9 pm, spanning a total duration of 12 hours. The city was expected to experience an overall reduction of 165 MGD (Million Gallons Daily) in water supply during this period. The corporation spokesperson had urged citizens to conscientiously conserve water to minimise any inconveniences arising from the maintenance work.
