Man shot dead for raping step-daughter
LAHORE:A man along with his friend shot dead his step-father for raping his step-daughter in Raiwind City. Three days back, a man identified as Khawar Ali Shah was shot dead by the unidentified suspects. Incharge Investigations said that they launched the investigations after registration of a case. When they looked into his personal life, they came to know that it was a bit troubling. He worked as a carpenter but had contracted three marriages. Police on doubt included different members of the family into the investigations. During investigations, it came forth that the suspect sexually assaulted his step-daughter. The prime accused, his step-son Danish when came to know about it, he was infuriated and along with his friend Tanveer shot him dead.
Security guard found unconscious dies
A security guard who was found unconscious on a roadside in Mustafabad had died. The guard identified as Muhammad Tariq, a resident of Gujjar Khan, was found unconscious on a roadside. He was shifted to hospital where he died. His body was moved to morgue.
Three dacoits arrested
Organised Crime Unit (OCU) Civil Lines arrested three members of a dacoit gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Jaan Sher alias Johni, Shahzad Ali and Abdul Rehman. Police also recovered cash, mobile phones and illegal weapons from their custody.
19 die in road accidents in 24 hours
Around 19 people died, whereas 1,222 were injured in 1,146 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 628 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 594 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
