Afghan artistes move PHC against deportation

PESHAWAR: Afghan artistes living in refugee camps in Pakistan filed a writ in the Peshawar High Court against their forced deportation.
The court has been moved by three petitioners. They said they belonged to Afghanistan and were artists, who are currently living with their families in refugee camps in Pakistan. After the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, they migrated to Pakistan because the Taliban had openly ordered action against artistes and also closed their business. It thousands of Afghans were worried about their evacuation by the government of Pakistan. They said they had been duly registered and allotted a registration number.
