haseeb Manzoor is a talented artist who felt an overwhelming desire to paint when he began to travel and explored Pakistan’s profound cultural legacy, rich landscapes and nature in all its manifestations. Inspired from the astounding contribution of Sadequain Naqqash and Muhammad Zakariya in arts, Haseeb intends to become one of the most celebrated artists like them in painting and calligraphy. He developed his own instinctive and spontaneous style by focusing more on the feeling of serenity than resentment. With quick movements of the brush and leaving no time for contemplation and thought, Haseeb masters in drawing the avant-garde styles.
At a young age, Hasseb’s contributions in art are noteworthy. Apart from being the winner of QAS Art Fusion in Graffiti, AirNexus and Quaidian Olympaid, he was the runner-up in IshqArt & Ist Youth Carnival. He has also participated in Talent Expo Islamabad, Daira, Capital Youth Expo, SIST, Rang-e-Pakistan ’20. He was also a part of the art team that was selected for the Graffiti sequence in director Fayyaz Idrees movie ‘Thori Setting Thora Pyar’ and amassed critical acclaim for his distinctive work. He is currently serving as the Vice President of Quaid-i-Azam Art Society, which is giving him an idyllic platform to serve arts diligently. Let’s get to know the likes and dislikes of this artist…
What do you count as your valuable assets?
My family, my self-confidence and optimism in general.
How would you define your art work?
My work pays a rich to tribute to nature which serves as inflow of new ideas for me, and help me envision my spiritual pursuits.
Where do you dig up your strength and support?
I am blessed with parents who have been my pillar of strength in life.
What inspires you to paint?
Nature. I find the nature incredibly fleeting and dynamic, always transforming and changing.
What new themes would you be exploring as your subjects in future?
I would like to branch out to the themes of Sufism and spirituality.
What message do you want to disseminate through your paintings?
From cavemen drawing pictures on walls or contemporary artists making a statement about the global warming and conservation of the planet earth, everyone admits the purity of the landscape we own and cherish. So, it’s really important that we take tangible steps to conserve it.
Fame, money or passion – what does appeal you the most?
If you are hardcore passionate and believe in working painstakingly for your goals then no hurdle can impede fame and money coming your way.
What do you think this country needs the most?
Education.

Beauty with brains.
The most important relationship lesson that you have learnt:
People change but life goes on.
What do you like the most about yourself?
Being calm, determined and sensibly focused.
When feeling low you prefer:
To come out the veil of indescribable anguish. I always prefer to paint and get busy with calligraphy.
You get super uncomfortable when?
I find myself amongst introverts with no easy escape.
How do you deal when faced with a depressing phase in life?
Attaining my fitness goals and following my fitness regimen have proved therapeutic during such phases, for me.
How do you mange anger to stay super cool?
I get silent and in my case this mantra has always proved very liberating and empowering.
Do you have any regrets?
Not being able to visit Turkey in 2007.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
As a CSP Officer and a renowned international artist.
