In the past few issues, I was happy to read the cover stories Mind, heart, soul by Sameen Amer (16 February) and A writer’s strategy for success by Muhammad Omar Iftikhar (8 March). Reading broadens horizons, so it should be encouraged, and I am glad Us is doing its bit by giving us articles on writing strategies, book reviews and literature festivals. Keep up the good work, Team Us.

Dear Ed,

I have been following Us for many years, and I honestly feel that it’s a magazine that has something for everyone. The problem is that we don’t get to read many original articles. I want to see more stuff under ‘Heart to Heart’ and ‘Think Pad’ sections. Also, I haven’t come across ‘Quiz Whiz’ in a long while. Ed, this section is very informative, and I want it to be regular part of Us. Maybe once a month is not too much to ask? I think readers can also benefit from articles on counseling as not many schools employ counselors. Also, articles on how to prepare for entrance examinations would be really welcome.

I have this week’s issue in my hands, and I am disappointed. I was hoping to see a recipe or two every week for the month, but you did not see fit to oblige me. I am sad! Oh, and please don’t ask me to read online, as I don’t have the time to sift through the millions of recipes to find one. Ed, I loved the interview of Mubesher Rauf. He really has striking good looks!
