I have always been a silent reader of Us, but this time I wanted to share my thoughts. The pictorial section of the issue was a really interesting read and true example of how art imitates life. I want you to do more interviews from different people like authors and athletes. The ‘Poets’ Corner’ of Us is always a delight! It is so good to see budding poets sharing their thoughts in the most creative way. I liked Zahra Zafar’s poem Companion: melancholy (5 January issue) in particular and I think I am a fan of her writing. If she ever publishes her poetry book, I will definitely buy it.

Dear Editor,
I am a teacher and I encourage my students to read Us and Young World in the school library. These magazines provide them information and recreation at the same time. I read with interest the article The pitfalls of X (12 January issue). Social media is wonderful and dangerous and I believe it is the duty of parents and teachers to teach the children under their supervision how to navigate through it. Social media is not something that can be denied to children; my 11-year-students have Instagram accounts, but parents should monitor and regulate screen time that is allowed to their children.
My students enjoy ‘Comic Relief’ and ‘Bits ‘N’ Pieces’ sections a lot. They also liked ‘Greetings’ section. I have one request: please start a page for children between nine to 12 years of age. Us is a magazine for the youth, but there aren’t many publications that cater to the age group that I mentioned above. I hope you will consider my request.

Hi Ed,
Thank you for publishing the interview of my favourite actor, Ali Abbas (The wondrous charm of Ali Abbas, 5 Jan issue). I loved his answers! The pictorial was also very good, specially the eggplant one. But the one thing that has been missing for a while now is a good story; I hope to see one soon.
