Instep introduces four star-studded telefilms that will entertain you this Eid-ul-Azha.

With the Eid season upon us (again), three much awaited films are all set to hit theatres; they include Mehwish Hayat and Fahad Mustafa-starrer Load Wedding, the sequel to 2015’s blockbuster Jawani Phir Nahi Ani along with Air Force film, Parwaaz Hai Junoon, that features an all star cast including Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahad Raza Mir, Shaz Khan, Hania Amir and others.

While we are geared up for the Eid releases, as far as television is concerned, there are multiple telefilms that will air on different channels during the Eid season and will feature some of our favourite actors such as Saba Qamar, Faysal Qureshi, Sohai Ali Abro and others.

Read on as Instep gives you a lowdown of the telefilms that may entertain you over the holidays, without costing you the price you pay for watching a film in the cinema…

Iss Dil Ki Aisi Ki Tesi

While we loved Saba Qamar’s chemistry with actor Zahid Ahmed in Dil Diyan Gallan, that went on air last Eid, the Baaghi actor is all set to appear in another telefilm that will go on air this Eid-ul-Azha.

Saba Qamar will be seen opposite singer and actor Farhan Saeed in this fun romantic comedy, titled Iss Dil Ki Aisi Ki Tesi, which is directed by Aehsun Talish of Suno Chanda fame. According to Saba Qamar, shooting for this telefilm and working with a bunch of talented people that she had never worked with before was a great experience.

Let’s see what this light-hearted telefilm has in store for the audience.

Ek Chance Pyaar Ka

A telefilm to look forward to this Eid is definitely Ek Chance Pyaar Ka that stars Motorcycle Girl Sohai Ali Abro and Azfar Rehman in lead roles.

Directed by Faheem Burney, Ek Chance Pyaar Ka is a romantic comedy which follows the story of Naina (essayed by Sohai Ali Abro) whose mother is against her daughter’s wishes to get married to her best friend (essayed by Azfar Rehman). Things go haywire as the two try to convince Naina’s mother; what happens next is something that we’ll have to wait till the play goes on air.

Apart from Sohai and Azfar, the telefilm features actors Tara Mehmood, Shahnaz Parvaiz and Ali Tahir among others.

Hum Do Hamare Saw

Another telefilm that promises to be entertaining is Hum Do Hamare Saw that stars Faysal Qureshi, Hira Mani Nausheen Shah, Aijaz Aslam and Ali Rizvi in pivotal roles.

The plot of Hum Do Hamare Saw revolves around the story of a channel owner who is petrified of his wife. “I essay the character of Imran Malik in this comedy telefilm. With just a few days left, I don’t want to reveal much about it. But all I can say is that it is going to be a fun watch.” Faysal Qureshi told Instep in an earlier interview.

The actor and host also revealed that the telefilm is directed by Najaf Bilgrami and is written by Dr Younis Butt.

Baj Gaya Baja

This Eid telefilm is directed by Saqib Khan and features the likes of Ahmed Ali Butt, Salma Hassan, Nadia Hussain and Komal Aziz Khan in key roles. “Baj Gaya Baja is a full blown comedy in which I essay the character of a doctor,” singer and actor Ahmed Ali Butt told Instep.

“The telefilm follows the story of a doctor, Hammad, who has two wives but both of them are unaware of the fact that their husband has married twice,” he shared.

In the telefilm Ahmed Ali Butt has a son from one wife and an adopted child with the second one.

“This character has managed to keep his two marriages hush hush for the past 20 years, but now that the kids are grown up and want to get married to each other, things take a turn for the worst for Dr. Hammad.”

Ultimately both the wives get to know about their husband’s little secret and how this character tries to avoid the situation is what you’ll find out after watching Baj Gaya Baja.
