Made on a moderate budget of 22 crores, Hindi Medium has made a profit 41.72 crores, taking its profit percentage to 189.96 per cent. The exemption of tax in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi comes across as a cherry on top whereas the film recovered 15 crores from digital, satellite, music and overseas rights.

Directed by Saket Chaudhary, Hindi Medium tells the story of a couple, essayed by Saba Qamar and Irrfan Khan, who struggle to give their daughter the best education so that she is accepted by society and doesn’t have to face prejudice. The film marks Qamar’s debut in Bollywood and people from both sides of the border have responded well to her acting including the likes of Vidya Balan and Rishi Kapoor.
