Akmal claims Rs500mn from Rachel Khan in damages

LAHORE: Cricketer Umar Akmal, who has been making headlines over the past weeks, on Tuesday sent a notice to model Rachel Khan claiming damages of Rs500 million.

According to the cricketer, the model has damaged his respect, reputation and credibility.

Just like actress Meera, Umar Akmal also seems to have learned the art of staying in the news.

Sometimes he grabs media attention for scuffling with a traffic warden, sometimes dancing in a party or allegedly indulging in eve-teasing.

Only a day earlier, even Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan could not help pointing at the 'immoral activities' that Umar Akmal was allegedly involved in.

Model Rachel Khan also made the most of the opportunity by accusing Akmal of mistreating her in a state of drunkenness and for which she had to slap him.

Umar Akmal said the allegation from Rachel Khan was uncalled for and in return slapped her with a notice, claiming Rs500 million from her in damages.
