GHAZIABAD: Hindu Mahasabha on Wednesday set ablaze a car belonging to Indian underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, which was sold sold at an auction earlier this month in Mumbai.
According to Indian media reports, Dawood's car was set afire in Indrapuram in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh.
The national president of Hindu Mahasabha, Swami Chakrapani, bought Dawood Ibrahim's green Hyundai Accent car in the auction on December 9, the Indian media reported.
NDTV quoted Chakrapani as saying that "burning the car would be symbolic of conducting the last rites of terrorism that Dawood and his henchman spread in the country, especially in Mumabai".
