SHARJAH: The ninth Twenty20 match in the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi here at 9-00 pm on Thursday.

This will be the third match in the event for the two teams as both have already played two matches each in Dubai last week. Both have recorded one win each and each of them suffered from one defeat as they have secured two points each.

Karachi Kings won their first match by seven runs against Multan Sultans on February 15 and lost their second match by 22 runs to Lahore Qalandars on February 16, while Peshawar Zalmi lost their first match by six wickets to Quetta Gladiators on February 15 and won their second match by seven wickets against Lahore Qalandars on February 17.
Though both Karachi and Peshawar are looking equally good but the Kings have an edge over Zalmi. They posted 183 for six against Multan Sultans, which is the highest total by a team so far in the PSL4. Peshawar Zalmi's highest total so far in the event is 155 for four, against Quetta Gladiators on February 15.
Prolific scorer BabarAzam of Karachi Kings is currently the best T20 batsman in the world having scored 1182 runs in 29 Twenty20 Internationals. His batting average of 53.72 is a world record and is far ahead of great Indian batsman Virat Kohli's average of 49.25.
Babar is one of the three batsmen to score 100 or more runs in the current PSL season. He made 105 runs in two matches with one fifty. Other two batsmen - Umar Akmal (119) and Shane Watson (100) - belong to Questa Gladiators.
The highest run-getter for Peshawar Zalmi is Umar Amin (61 in only one match) whereas the highest wicket-takers for Peshawar Zalmi are pacers Wahab Riaz and Hasan Ali while fast bowler Mohammad Amir is the highest wicket-taker for Karachi Kings. Each of them captured five wickets in two games.
Karachi Kings have also some good cricketers in their side like LS Livingstone, Ravi Bopara, CA Ingram, Imad Waim, Sikandar Raza, Mohammad Amir, Usman Shinwari and a new bowling sensation Umer Khan.
Similarly, Peshawar Zalmi have also some big names like Misbah-ul-Haq, Kamran Akmal, Keiron Pollard, Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq and their captain Darren Sammy.
