'One Pakistani dying of heart attack every five minutes'

ABBOTTABAD: President Heart Association of Pakistan Maj.Gen. (R) Masood ur Rehman said after every five minute one Pakistani is dying due to heart attack.
He said this while addressing a seminar on “Awareness of Heart diseases and safety” on Saturday.
Masood ur Rehman said that expressed the need to inform the people about the causes of heart problems the precautionary measure to prevent the ratio of death from increasing.
Giving the details of the heart disease in Pakistan Dr. Masoodur Rehman said 50 percent heart patient die while being shifted to the hospitals.
He added that 70 percent of patients of the cardiovascular disease are caused by in sub continent owing to the unhealthy lifestyle.

Maj.Gen. (R) Masood ur Rehman stated that "our life style where we usually do not feel the need of physical exercise, over eating, smoking and cholesterol is causing the heart issues and heart attack adding that beside exercise we also need to use balance diet to overcome heart problems".
