SHARJAH: Quetta Gladiators restricted Islamabad United to 134 for seven in the ninth Twenty20 match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) – 2018 here at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
After being sent into bat, the United were in trouble losing two early wickets for only 25 runs but then opener Luke Ronchi along with Jean-Paul Duminy (14) and later skipper Misbah-ul-Haq (22) steered the team to 93-4.
Faheem Ashraf also made a significant contribution, hitting two sixes in his 21runs from 13 balls with two sixes and a four.
However, Ronchi was the top-scorer with 43from 26 balls with seven fours and a six.
Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed tried six bowlers, all of whom except one took one wicket each.
