KARACHI: Owing to rising prices of petrol in the international market, the price of the fuel is likely to increase by Rs7 per litre in the country.
The prices of petrol has continuously been increasing over the past 20 days in the international market while the rupee has depreciated against the dollar in the inter-bank market.
Keeping in view the prevailing situation of the international oil and inter-bank markets, industry sources feared an increase of Rs7 per litre in the petrol prices in the country.
The prices of diesel and kerosene oil are also projected to increase Rs5 and Rs6 respectively.
Sources said that due to international situation, hike in petroleum prices is inevitable for the government.
