Government decides to keep POL prices unchanged

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to keep prices of petroleum products unchanged for the next month, Finance Ministry’s statement said on Monday.

“Government has decided to keep POL prices unchanged for the month of August, due to unprecedented circumstances”, statement said.

According to details, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) had forwarded the summary to Ministry of finance for reducing the prices of petroleum products.

Ogra had recommended that the price of petrol should be reduced by Rs 3.67 per litre while high speed diesel by Rs 5.7 per litre.

However, Ogra had recommended the increase of Rs 10.1 per liter in the price of light speed diesel while kerosene oil by Rs 13.

High-speed diesel and petrol will be sold at Rs 79.90 and Rs 71.30 respectively, while kerosene oil and light diesel price will also remain unchanged for the month of August, statement said.
