ISLAMABAD: The government on Friday announced a reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 1.30 per litre while keeping the prices of kerosene and other petroleum products unchanged to provide relief to consumers.
The new prices were approved by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and announced by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 1.50 to Rs 71.30 per litre and diesel by Rs 1.50 to Rs 79.90.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, while announcing the prices of petroleum products for the period starting from July,1, said in order to provide relief to the public and rationalise rates, the government has decided to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel and kept unchanged of other petroleum products.
