Carrot Top's whereabouts after release from hospital after suicide attempt

Carrot Top has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home with his family.

It has emerged that the 61-year-old comedian is now "doing well" after being hospitalised in critical condition following a suicide attempt at his Las Vegas home on September 18, per Page Six.

Police reports say that Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was found unconscious near his backyard pool after his manager requested a welfare check.

Thompson had reportedly spoken to his manager about concerns over an upcoming article about him, then sent a brief, alarming text before going silent. This made the manager rush the police to the scene.

In an earlier update, his representative, Jami Schlicher, said Thompson spent nearly a week in the hospital before improving. "He is now awake, breathing on his own and continuing to improve, surrounded by his family and those closest to him," she said.

Schlicher added that Thompson had shared "moments of humour" with hospital staff and been moved by supportive messages from fans.

The tragic move occurred during a legal dispute with musician Brian Evans, who Thompson's attorney accused of threatening to release an explicit video unless paid $500,000. Evans has denied the allegation. Thompson's attorneys later cited the suicide attempt in court filings while seeking protective measures in the case.

Thompson's long-running Luxor residency, ongoing since 2005, also remains paused, with reports indicating he's canceled shows for three weeks.
