Benny Blanco backs out of radically changing his lookb

Benny Blanco has voluminous, untamed curls, but there was a time he mulled over shaving off what wast was probably his trademark: curly hair.

Appearing on The Tonight Show, he recalled, “I was thinking about actually doing it."

However, the music producer pushed back on his own idea, thinking, “But then I was like, what if I have, like, a crazy head? Like I have a huge cone in the back, I don’t know!”

In response, host Jimmy Fallon agreed, saying, “You don’t know. You don’t want to mess with that. No, no. This is the look for you.”

But the music producer had previously shaved his head as a prank to promote his new book, Fck Failure.

The prank was so convincing that Blanco's mother fell for it.

He recalled her reaction, saying, “My mother believed it. My mother called me, and she was like, ‘What’?!”

To calm her, Blanco said he had to video call her as proof.

"She made me FaceTime her because she didn’t believe me," the 38-year-old hilariously said.

Meanwhile, Blanco and Selena Gomez are reaching toward the pair's first marriage anniversary.

The pop icon, who recently had an interview with People, shared that the couple is still in their "honeymoon phase."
