Tom Cruise reveals why he refuses to get 'stuck' in past after three divorces
Tom Cruise explains how he uses his past to move forward
Tom Cruise revealed that he is a person who learns from history not dwell "in the past".
The Hollywood actor, who was previously married to stars Nicole Kidman, Katie Holmes and Mimi Rogers, admitted that he has never regretted his past, instead he "looks back to evaluate."
He told GQ that he only revisits past moments just so he can "do things better."
"Where I’m going, 'What worked and what didn’t work?' Tom noted.
The Mission Impossible actor explained, "I can look back at things in a joyful way. I’m looking at history. I’m looking at what worked previously.
"We’re now going back to older lenses, and we’re looking at how do we get that look and how do we get this today and where are we moving forward? I’m not someone who lives in the past. Do you know what I’m saying?"
Tom further noted that he chose not to remain "stuck" in the past and moves forward to see how he can be more creative and make new experiences and things.
The 64-year-old actor added, "There’s that joy of creating something, in the accomplishment, and then there’s always a new dream. There’s always the bigger dream. And that’s the thing. That’s what I’ve always been interested in."
Tom is gearing up for the sequel to his 1990 racing film Days of Thunder, starring Anne Hathaway in role previously played by his ex wife Nicole.
