Prince Harry, Meghan Markle told to focus on work rather than marketing
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are called out for their lack of attention towards their line of work
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are called out for focusing on the marketing appeal.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who seemingly did not appreciate being called private citizens by Charles in a recent letter, are told not to detract from their work.
PR expert Mayah Riaz tells Mirror: “There is an obvious irony in having to publicly announce that you are a public figure. The most powerful public figures don’t usually need to tell us they are relevant. Their influence speaks for itself.
“The danger for Harry and Meghan is that by focusing on the label, they risk making the story about their status rather than their work,” says the expert.
“I have to say, this also raises an interesting question of whether they want the spotlight, or do they want to control the spotlight? Because those are two very different things,” she notes.
