Aaron Rodgers references Dianna Russini scandal, targets Shailene Woodley

Aaron Rodgers is making headlines after breaking silence about his split from actress Shailene Woodley.

During an interview, Rodgers claimed his ex-fiancée, Shailene Woodley, requested permission to sleep with another man shortly after his proposal.

Appearing on “Not Just Football” podcast, the NFL player also lashed out at ESPN for not speaking about Diana Russini scandal, referring to the reporter’s alleged affair with coach Mike Vrabel.

Calling ESPN a gutless organization, he said, “I also said you're a gutless organization because they haven’t said anything... Why do you want to throw Jed York under the bus. But does that have the same effect as a reporter who’s you know has intimate relations with a coach who has a vote for MVP has a vote for coach of the year. I don't know if she's on the Hall of Fame or not but there's voting stuff."

Earlier this month, an investigation by The Athletic concluded that former NFL reporter Dianna Russini violated the company’s standards because of her relationship with New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel that led to her resignation in April.

The report drew no conclusions about the nature of Russini’s relationship with Vrabel, who said he took accountability for his actions without addressing photos released of the coach and the reporter at a resort in Arizona.
