On Thursday, ChatGPT experienced a widespread outage with more than 5,000 users reporting problems with the platform as of 7:53 a.m. according to Down detector.
Outages were confirmed after status reports from multiple sources with more than 22,000 users confirmed reporting issues with the platform.
In this connection, the status checker now says, “We are investigating the issue for the listed services.”
The services are primarily Codex and ChatGPT, with more than 66,000 users now reporting issues while the company’s status page indicates that it is investigating the issue.
Claude AI also experienced a partial outage today with users facing a spike in errors. The biggest problems are with Claude Code and Claude Chat, with some users raising concerns about the applications.
OpenAI said it was examining escalating system failures across ChatGPT and Codex with the problem ongoing for 20 minutes at the time of a status-page screenshot reviewed by The Post.
In addition, Anthropic also increased errors across multiple Claude models, stating that it had identified the issue and was working on a major fix.
