Diddy's sons join Keke Palmer to celebrate her 33rd birthday
Keke Palmer's birthday bash sparks fan reaction over guest list
Keke Palmer celebrated her 33rd birthday with a group of longtime friends, which included Justin and Christian Combs, the sons of Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Palmer shared photos from the celebration on Thursday, thanking her friends who continue to support her over the years.
“I’ve known most of these people 4EVER. They still show up for me! So happy spending my birthday with people that believe we deserve to share in happiness with one another,” Palmer captioned the Instagram post.
She continued, "Life is too short not to be in community, I don’t need a reason to celebrate with my folks but a birthday will always remind you to show grace and gratitude for where you come from and where you’ve been, most importantly who you are today. Thankful to God! Another year.”
Other photos from the celebration featured other friends from her entertainment career, including fellow former Disney Channel and Nickelodeon stars.
While Palmer's message focused on gratitude and friendship, some fans expressed concern in the comments about her association with Justin and Christian Combs, given their father's recent legal case.
"First pic was a choice," wrote one person in the comments, while another said, "Sister should’ve put they photo last."
A third user wrote, "Watch ppl & the company they keep," while another lambasted her for being "always on the wrong side of history."
Sean Combs was convicted last year on charges related to transportation for prostitution and was sentenced to several years in federal prison, though his sentence has since been reduced multiple times. He was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.
It's unclear exactly how Palmer became close with Justin and Christian, though they have appeared together publicly at various events over the years.
