Ridley Scott makes a shocking revelation about Jacob Elordi

The Dog Stars’ director Ridley Scott starred Jacob Elordi as Hig in the film.

Ridley is known for giving actors challenging roles. However Jacob proved himself by meeting the acclaimed director’s expectations.

As per the movie, Jacob's character finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world where he can be seen flying planes, exploring deserted towns and looking after dogs.

Reflecting on the Australian actor’s work, Ridley told People Magazine, “Jacob’s kind of a farm boy.”

He further acknowledged, “He can drive. He got onto that lawnmower tractor, just started the engine, started working it. Nobody told him how.”

Not just planes the actor had a way with the dogs too as the director explained, “There were three: One dog was an attack dog, one was a dog that was playful and one dog that would sit in the cockpit so that they’re all the same dog.”

“He was so nice to the dog.”

“But he was great with all of them and had that command of the animals as well,” Ridley added.

It is worth noting here that the character hig’s character had a dog named jasper, he was originally his late wife’s and now serves as a meaningful connection.

The film maker went on to say, “Because Hig would talk to his dog, which was really his friend,”

“His dog had been a puppy to his wife.”

“The dog really was his connection and linked with his wife. It was beautiful.” Ridley revealed.

Speaking about his experience with the 29-year-old actor, “I’m an older guy, so nothing intimidates me,” adding, “[Jacob] and I got on very well because my process of work is very fast.” Ridley said.

Moreover, the director shared that he believes in giving confidence and freedom during his directing process, saying, “Every actor wants to feel secure in whose hands he is in or whose hands she is in,”

He continued, “I always try to promote that idea of confidence, and then I know exactly what I’m doing.”

Noting, “What’s important [is] leaving the door open for them to come in and make this or want to do that.”

“I’m a very good listener,” Ridley concluded.
