Bradley Barcola transfer: Liverpool close in on £120m PSG deal
Barcola transferred to PSG in 2023 from Lyon
Liverpool is reportedly set to reach an agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Bradley Barcola for a package worth £120m.
As reported by Sky News, the deal has not been finalized yet but talks have made significant breakthrough after 48-hours negotiations. So it is expected that a full agreement is now close.
Speaking about the figure of valuations between the two clubs, there is a disparity as the PSG had valued the 23-year-old at £140m.
Liverpool's £120m fee for France forward is fixed, though final details of the deal are still being ironed out. If the deal has been finalized, the transfer of Barcola to Anfield would be Liverpool’s second most expensive signing of all time.
Previously, the club signed Alexander Isak from Newcastle for £125m last summer. The transfer of Barcola to Liverpool would be highly beneficial as the club seeks to add potency to their attack as he can play on the right or through the middle.
Barcola transferred to PSG in 2023 from Lyon after a £38.5 million deal and secured two Champion Leagues, three Ligue 1 titles , the French Cup twice, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
Besides Barcola, Liverpool are in talks to sign a second new winger with their target currently Ismaila Sarr but Crystal Palace’s refused £50 million deal for Sarr.
