Jessie Cave, the Harry Potter star, recently got candid and opened up about how much money she has made from OnlyFans.

For those unaware, the 39-year-old English actress and comedian, who played the role of Lavender Brown in the franchise’s final three films, became part of the online content subscription service as a creator in March 2025. She mostly makes “hair content” to support herself and her four children.

The UK-based newspaper The Times published her interview on August 7, in which Cave said, “I couldn’t go and, say, work in a supermarket because I can’t afford the childcare, and also I don’t want people shouting Harry Potter spells at me as I work at Tesco.”

She added, “I could retrain but I can’t afford to do a degree. I had a breakdown and I thought, that’s it with acting, I give up. But also we have no money. It was a point of complete desperation.”

The Tale of Tales star makes videos of herself dressed as an elf, a maid or even Brown while playing and brushing her long hair.

Cave quipped, “My rule is the hair is the main character. That’s how I justify it. It’s literally about hair: the texture of hair. The fetish. It’s very, very niche.”

“I thought I’d make five grand, be on it for a few months and it would buy me time to work out what we’re going to do. But it’s now been over a year and a half and it’s genuinely saved our lives,” she explained.

It is pertinent to mention that Jessie Cave has earned more than £15,000 (around $20,200 after just one day of joining OnlyFans.
