Carson Daly finally clears up confusion over 'The Voice' exit

Carson Daly has finally addressed the report suggesting that he is leaving The Voice.

“Many today have asked if I’m leaving [The Voice]. Nope," the 53-year-old TV star clarified via Instagram on Tuesday.

“We’re gonna try out these 2 formats this fall/spring & see how it goes! Hopefully this post clears up any confusion," he added.

The NBC network announced on August 4 that Keke Palmer will host the upcoming celebrity spinoff of the show. The new edition will air on the Peacock network in the spring of 2027.

According to the network, Joe Jonas will join Queen Latifah and Riley Green as celebrity coaches on The Voice: Celebrity.

“Today we announced our new upcoming Celebrity version of @nbcthevoice. A spin off format of our long running show,” Carson explained via his Instagram post. 

“It’s a new concept than what has aired for 30 seasons aka the ‘OG format’ where regular humans sing, chairs turn, teams are built, one winner [is] crowned at the end." he continued. "Celeb Voice is a fun, NEW IDEA that features some big differences like… FAMOUS PEOPLE singing for 3 coaches to see if they have what it takes. "

Carson added, "There’s lots of new twists & turns. I have been talking about it on @todayshow for a while now. I am not the right host for it.”

Praising Keke as his replacement, the TV host wrote, “We have a NEW amazing HOST! The triple threat queen @keke who is PERFECT for it!"

"I’m so grateful she carved out the time in her busy career to help us out. We’re all big fans & welcome her to the family," he added.
