The Call Her Daddy podcast host, 31, is expecting her first child with husband Matt Kaplan. On Sunday, she posted a screenshot on her Instagram Stories showing a direct message she received from a social media user.

The message read, "Don't complain about being pregnant. Your choice. Pregnancy can be hard."

Alex replied with a sarcastic response, writing, "Pregnancy can be hard. Oh Chris, tell me about your pregnancy. I would love to hear, babe!"

She also pointed out that many of the negative messages she receives come from men, adding, "Just wanted to share all the DMs I get like this... are from men."

Last month, Alex revealed she had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, a condition that causes high blood sugar during pregnancy. She explained that it can affect anyone, regardless of their weight, diet or fitness level.

Speaking in a video shared on Instagram, Alex admitted the diagnosis left her feeling overwhelmed and alone at first.

She said pregnancy already brings many emotional changes, and learning she had gestational diabetes made the experience even more difficult. However, she said her main focus is keeping her baby healthy and following her doctors' advice.

Alex also hopes that speaking openly about her diagnosis will help other pregnant women facing the same condition feel less alone.

She announced in May that she and Kaplan are expecting their first child together.
