Arbeloa wants to sign Thiago Pitarch for Fulham: Here’s why

According to a report from MARCA, Fulham coach Alvaro Arbeloa is willing to sign midfielder Thiago Pitarch for the London-based club.

The 18-year-old formally agreed to a significant move following a request from the new head coach who was appointed in July 2026 on a three-year deal.

Arbeloa is a former Real Madrid player and youth coach who knows Pitarch well and seeks to recruit proven talent to Craven Cottage.

Pitarch would be the third canterano going to Craven Cottage after Fulham already signed both Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios this summer.

Currently Pitarch is injured but would be excited as part of joining Arbeloa’s squad, according to that same report.

This transfer is still not approaching near completion any time soon as the two clubs negotiate a deal. Fans appreciating the smart move joked that Fulham is becoming Madrid’s feeder club observing the growth potential of the promising 2027-born prospect.

On social platform X, fans have been pouring compelling reactions with one user writing, “Top talent. It also depends on the structure of the deal. We can't give up all of the player's rights. He has the quality to come here and become a starter in the future.”

Second remarked, “Arbeloa wants to build Madrid lite in EPl isn't it, plus he worked with a lot of the kids whilst he was still at academy.”

Third added, “I hope Fulham won’t be relegated, I don’t want relegation records on Kevin Bassey and Alex Iwobi football careers.”

Real Madrid also believes that Pitarch could benefit from playing more minutes, so they are open to his departure this summer. Nonetheless, Los Blancos want to keep an option to bring him back as they have already done with both Gonzalo and Palacios.
