Meghan Markle reacts to online hate over Emmy nomination: Source

After days of royal commentators, critics, experts and others in the Royal Rota criticizing Meghan Markle for having landed a nomination for her lifestyle and hosting show, the reaction she’s been having, albeit behind-the-scenes comes to light.

Its all coming straight by a well-placed source and they say, “she says the whole narrative that she’s somehow getting special treatment by getting this nomination after her show was cancelled just proves her point because it actually happens all the time and is completely within the rules.”

Another thing the source mentioned regarding Meghan’s feelings towards this entire issue is that the Duchess is shocked over the fact that world has decided to “accuse her of somehow manipulating the process,” when in reality “all she did was make the series and submit it for consideration like everyone else”. To her it looks simply like they are “just grasping at straws.”

It is due to this that the source quotes her as having said, “‘if people want to disagree with the voters, that's their right’, but they're directing all their anger at her instead of accepting that the judging panel obviously saw something they didn't.”

Near the end they also told Heat, “it’s very frustrating because no matter what she does, she can’t win. If the show hadn't been nominated, people would have called it a failure, and now that it has been recognised, they're saying the nomination doesn't count. From her perspective, the goalposts keep moving because some people have already decided they don’t like her and they’re working backwards to prove their assumptions about her.”

That’s not the only thing the Duchess is being forced to contend with because on the flip side, she’s also aware that the more the awards actually inch closer, the backlash is for sure “going to intensify” but “she's determined not to let it rattle her.”

They add, “as far as she's concerned, she's earned the right to celebrate this moment, and she's not going to let anyone take that away from her.”

Another thing the insider admitted is that “if she takes home the prize on Emmy night, even better, but either way she’s going to make the most of this, no matter how many people try to tear her down.”
