Princess Diana's poolside video raises eyebrows after death anniversary

A throwback video of the late Princess Diana resurfaced days after her death anniversary on August 31.

In the clip, the former Princess of Wales is seen standing with her bodyguard Ken Wharfe before stripping down to a bikini and jumping into the pool.

She was reportedly filmed swimming during her stay in Egypt at the private residence of the then British ambassador in 1992.

When the video surfaced online, curious users wondered whether there were CCTV cameras installed near the poolside.

However, reports said that the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry was filmed and photographed by paparazzi inside the ambassador's residence.

Diana, the first wife of King Charles, was killed aged 36 in August 1997 when the car carrying her and her lover Dodi al-Fayed crashed in the Pont ​de L’Alma tunnel in Paris as it sped away from chasing ​paparazzi photographers on motorbikes.

She became the most photographed woman in the world after marrying Charles in ​a glittering ceremony ​in 1981. However, ⁠the marriage turned sour and they eventually divorced in 1996.

At her funeral, Spencer famously delivered a eulogy in which ​he castigated the royal family.
