Real Madrid confirm signing of striker Carlos Espí from Levante on five-year deal

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Carlos Espí from Levante, with the Spanish forward joining the club on a five-year contract.

According to ESPN, the deal was finalised after the Spanish giants identified Espí as a replacement for Gonzalo García, who is expected to join Fulham.

In a statement, Real Madrid said: "Real Madrid C.F. and Levante U.D. have agreed to the transfer of Carlos Espí, who will be tied to our club for the next five seasons, until June 30, 2031."

"At 21 years old, Carlos Espí has ​​played three seasons for Levante, making 66 appearances and scoring 20 goals."

Espi impressed last season, scoring 11 LaLiga goals, and was named the league's best player under the age of 23.

He becomes Real Madrid's fifth signing of the summer and will compete for a place alongside Kylian Mbappe and Endrick under new head coach Jose Mourinho.

ESPN also reported that Madrid remain active in the transfer market and are close to signing Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig.
